Web Assessment Best Practices

Often businesses create a website and then think their work is done. But website creation is just the beginning; for a website to be effective, it must be used as a tool to engage the user, and convert a user to a customer. For a website to be engaging, six best practices must be observed.

Original Content Creation

Relevant, original website content is arguably the most important aspect of any website. Google says to "provide high-quality content on your pages, especially your homepage. This is the single most important thing to do." If you aren't offering your audience exclusive, helpful information, why would they want to come to your site? Original content can be delivered via a blog, examples of services, or company news.

Additionally, stagnant information on a page hurts your search engine ranking. Regular content and information updates should be part of your overall SEO strategy to help your organic ranking.

Enabled Social Networking

Making your website social networking enabled is also important. It's hard to find someone these days who is not using any kind of social media. Take advantage of your users' social media contacts by creating interesting, original content (like we discussed above) that is easily sharable. After a blog post, make sure to have a call to action that involves social media, like a button that says "share on Facebook" or "tweet this."

Ongoing Social Network Engagement

Not only should you encourage your users to share your content online, but you should also have a social media presence. In business, you are your own best advocate. Whether or not you are talking about your business on social media, someone else probably is - and it may not always be good. Be a part of the conversation about your business online. There are so many advantages to having a social presence on sites like Facebook. Depending on how you manage it, a business Facebook page can give your customers a chance to see your company's personality, interact with you on a more personal level, and share any of your information or stories with any of their friends, which dramatically increases your potential reach.

Accumulating "likes" on a business Facebook page is the equivalent to conducting market demographic research. The data on a user's page can be used to better target your ads and content.

Ongoing Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization (SEO) for your website is crucial. SEO is how you make sure that your business is found by potential customers online when using a search engine like Yahoo! or Google. By carefully choosing keywords, backlinks, and other attributes that increase your site's natural ranking on a search result page, you can make sure your website is found by the right people. You've made a great website, and you have a great business; why not do everything you can to make sure that you are found?

Targeted Online Advertising Campaigns

While SEO can get you a long way, targeted online advertising campaigns are another essential way to establish your online presence and find potential customers. Google AdWords and Facebook advertising are both good starting points for online advertising. Find out where potential customers are online and what their interests are, and make sure your ads are there.

Defined Goals and Measurements of Success

You must be aware of what you want your website to accomplish in order to determine if it is a success. Ongoing goals and measurements keep you on track and guide your content, social media, and advertising efforts. Good goals establish a specific, measurable, and attainable action, as well as a timeline for accomplishing that action.

Write good quality articles and generate your own back-links by sharing them on article directories, online encyclopedias and social networks. Some other webmasters and bloggers will feature your content and share links to your site if you create partnerships or simply create content that is useful for their audience. Don't waste time posting hundreds of links on message boards or commenting on blogs. Google AdSense and Three Ways To Do Keyword Research to Make Money Online

To make money online you will need to think of the big picture. What most people forget is that by only thinking of the big picture or general things, the details are left on the sidelines. This can affect your "bottom line" or your Google AdSense revenue.

One of the ways that more "advanced" website owners build their business, beyond linking and working on their business more hours than others, is by keyword research. There are simple ways of keyword research all of them are easy to do and for the most part produce the same effect for their work as the other options.

Below is a list of three things you can do to make keyword research a part of your business.

1) Do a search engine keyword research: For example, people who search the Internet a lot will find that certain websites come up based upon the search terms that they have typed in the "search bar." You job then are to be aware of your own search choices and see what comes up based upon what you type into Google or MSN's Bing, or on Yahoo.

If you believe that there is potential to use a certain keyword in your business, then you should use it the chances of making money based upon a keyword is higher than by simply "writing what you feel"

2) Search Engine research and Keyword Tools: This is more advanced and as effective but is far less time-consuming than search engine keyword research. Here you use the keyword research tool, from Google AdWords, to determine what the best keywords are found for your website or blog.

The key here is balance, you want to have traffic, but you also do not want to have a competitive keyword term so that you do not get traffic. Choosing a keyword, which does not get much search engine "searches," is a bad thing as well. Look for balance in your choice of keywords.

3) Keyword Research and a Linking Strategy: Using both these will help you profit on your Google AdSense clicks. The reason is simple, if you choose a good keyword, not high paying, but not low paying and build links often the following will happen.

Your links will grow over time and more traffic will come your way, and two the types of ads that are found will be closer to your websites topic. Understand that not everyone makes money with AdSense, and that you need to think long-term. This is all about increasing traffic and building links is one way to increase traffic, which in turn will make you money with Google AdSense.

How To Make AdSense More Effective

AdSense was hailed as the savior of the internet world when it first became established as a significant force in internet advertising. Up until then, most internet advertising had really been fairly large banner adverts at the top and side of pages, which were often fairly large, and more likely to put you off the product than endear you to it. AdSense was a model that really worked. It was unobtrusive in the way that banners weren't and seemed to work for both website owners and companies.the advantage for website owners, was that virtually anyone with a website could use AdSense, with a few exceptions, and it was relatively easy to install on a site. From a company's point of view, it was very effective, because it was specifically targeted and the company would only pay for the ads when the client clicked through on them, which made them very specific and focused, and cost effective.

Since then, AdSense has to a degree been a mixed blessing.many people have tried to use it and have made money, others have just given up because the reality of making money through it has not proved as simple as the process itself is. There seem to be two main things that affect the financial success of AdSense. Firstly is that it seems to work best with products than anything else. People seem more likely to click on ads where they are looking for a product, rather than a specific service. This makes a lot of sense. There is no risk from a customers point of view. They probably know what they're looking for and are trying to get the best price or service they can for the product, so an ad will fit better into that model. The other thing that makes a real difference to the effectiveness of AdSense, is where on the page you place the ad. Google even produce their own guide to where best places on a site are, which they call a Heatmap. This is invaluable, because it gives you a very clear guide as to generally speaking, what works and what doesn't. AdSense can be frustrating because it seems that it should be easier to make money from it, than it actually is! - actually, that is more of an issue about work ethics, than Google.

Good Luck

Recognition of Suspicious Pay Per Click Program

People like do the easy job to get money and one of the easy jobs most people think of is the internet business. Why do people perceive the internet job is easy job? Most of them did not realize the real of what actually happened behind it. They search the information how to get money with the little effort. With the increasing of internet user year by year and the marketing strategy, it is highly to attract people to join them. However, not all of them providing this service is genuine, there were some take this opportunity for their sake. Thus, there is where the suspicious Pay Per Click program on the net arises.

Suspicious Pay Per Click Program is a program in which promised to pay out money, but they have the option that they might or might not pay out the money. However they have strong valid reason of not pay out money to the participants. Most of people all out the world have been victim by this program.

One of the trick is behind the threshold limit. Most participants do not aware of this trick and most of the PPC provider does not provide payment or transferring money through instant bank. The payment method should be easy and do not take too long. Today you entitled for payment, tomorrow the payment should go process to your instant bank. The payment should be done easily and quickly. If you got only $30 and entitled for payment after going through verification process, then you deserved to withdraw the amount to your instant bank account without need to wait too long.

However most of them do not provide this service instead they imposed threshold payment method. Threshold where your earnings reach certain amount of limit then you can withdraw your money from their system to your account. Threshold method is complicated which normally take time to reach them. They used threshold method because it make sense and convince user to join them. Yes who bother to send you a check if only $30. Yes, it is make sense right? But don't you think that they as provider already got that money from your work, and you as participant however must wait until you reached the threshold to entitle for the payment. Although there were only in small amount, but not only you were joined the program, there were thousands or might be millions joined the program and faced the same situation as you. So they might be used any earnings below the threshold for their sake. So it is also can be a suspicious Pay Per Click program.

There are a lot of factors that contribute to this issue. To attract user to come to their site is one of them. Providing such programs that pay out money to the participant, absolutely able to attract user to come to their site, read the information and lastly participate in the program. They put some proof and showing successful participants who got the payment. Anyone can do that actually. So be careful because they just like to get traffic to their site by providing the program. This is easily to catch and can be categorized as totally SCAM.

Some of them offered to join for free without any cost. Some of them charge with little fee to join the program. Both tricks are the same, promising to pay out money to their participant. This trick is very difficult to catch them as they have the right such as stated a policy and T.O.S. but the agreement look like they are God. If there were no win-win situation in their policy and T.O.S, then please be careful to join them. As you might be trap with their policy and T.O.S. So it is suspicious and risky Pay Per Click program.

Another trick that is very difficult to catch out is the situation where they paid to only some of their participant, while the others do not. The fact is payment is happened, thus they provide a valid service. These participants whose get the payment will defend and said the program is truly paid out money. Thus anyone who wants to join, they can do so. However they must take the risk. This is also suspicious Pay Per Click program.

How to Make $30 a Day in 3 Weeks With Google AdSense

It should come as no surprise to those who have experience using AdSense that $30 a day is basic chump change. It's fairly easy to do as long as you stay on track and work your website(s) each and every day. Here's a method that I used fairly recently to get me up to $30 in about 3 weeks' worth of work.

This process has to do with first finding product based niches that are only being searched for during certain times of the year. Why? Because it is VERY easy to rank for these types of keywords and they get searched on a whole heck of a lot when they are in season.

So the first thing I would do is go to TradeKey.com to get some great keyword ideas. We can leverage the work that Tradekey has already done for us and use them to give us seasonal product type ideas. To do this you can go straight to the site itself or you can use the power of Google search and have them pull up these keywords right from their site. Let me show you how to do the latter...

Type this into your Google search bar...

Site:tradekey.com winter

What this does is gives us a listing of all the pages on TradeKey that have the keyword Winter in them. You want to look for product based keywords like "black winter gloves", just as an example.

"Black winter gloves" is a product that people search for in the heart of the winter and if we were to put up a website around these keywords, it would be simple to get this website in the top positions of the search engines. This means easy traffic and easy money to our AdSense account.

The real key to this whole process is to make sure that you can buy the exact match domain and only if the.com,.net, or.org extensions are available. If they are not, move on to the next keywords. Because these keywords are seasonal, none of the keyword tools are going to show us that they are getting very many searches per month. But that's okay because we know that they are getting the bulk if not all of the searches only when they are in season for a few months.

Find 5 to 10 keywords that you think you can rank for easily and build a website around each. This shouldn't take more than a day. Then all you need to do is promote them by picking up a few links and watch just how easy these websites will crawl to the top of the search engines and make you money! 20 or so websites in a 3 week period should land you around $30 a day or more.

Rinse and repeat this process as much as you want and go after different seasons to ensure that you are making this easy money all year long.

How To Set Up And Use Google AdSense To Generate Some Passive Income For Your Website

You do not need to be a computer wizard to get set up with Google AdSense. In fact, if you know how to surf the Internet, then you'll be able to set up Google AdSense, because that is all the technical knowledge which you need. First of all, Google AdSense is very user friendly. If you run into trouble, there is a really good support site to help with any problems you might come across.

When you first sign up with AdSense, you will be prompted for all of the information you need, so all you have to do is fill in the blanks. Once you have done this, you will need to wait a couple of days while Google approves your account. While you are waiting, take a little bit of time to become familiar with their program policies. You'll want to be certain that your site passes all of the required rules. As an example, any site with excessive profanity is not allowed. You can have a minor site with a minor amount of profanity but ultimately, it will be up to Google to approve your site.

Check out the Google AdSense support site and here, you can interact with other AdSense users. Have a look at what the users are doing and saying. The main thing to keep in mind is that you want to ensure that you have fun. Once you are fully set up, the Google AdSense dollars will come into your account automatically.

So how does Google AdSense actually pay you? Well, there are really many payment options which you can use to claim your AdSense dollars.

At the present time, there are 16 different countries that accept Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). This means that all of your earnings will get deposited into the bank account of your choice and it will be done in your own currency. Have a look at the Google AdSense support site to see if your country qualifies for this option. If you are interested in the EFT option, you will need to sign up for it separately after your application has been approved. Just sign into your account and click on the edit link which is located right next to the payment header. Google will put a small test deposit into your bank account after you have filled in your bank account information. This is just a security measure to ensure that the bank account is actually yours.

Keep an eye on your account because after a few days of signing up, you will be asked to receive the test deposit. Once Google has sent you the test deposit, you can log into your account and proceed to the payment details section. Once you are there, click on verify account. Next, enter the amount which you received for the test deposit. You must ensure that you complete this step because if you don't, Google will have to hold your payments. Once the test deposit amount is correctly entered, you will be fully approved. This means that in the future, your payments will go directly into your bank account.

Google AdSense Tutorial - Find The Money-Making Spots For Your Adverts

You could be making next to nothing or a fortune with your adverts, depending on how to place them on your site. This Google AdSense tutorial will teach you how to find the money-making spots on your site.

Do You Read Newspapers?

If you've ever held a morning paper in your hands, you'll know what I'm talking about, when I claim that it's difficult to read it. You either have to put it down on a huge surface, or you'll have to fold it to make it comfortable to read.

When you've folded your newspaper, you'll only see the text and pictures that are above the fold. This should be logical, unless you have x-ray glasses.

Visiting a web site is almost the same. You use your browser to go to a specific address, and you look at the site - or rather - the part of the site that's visible in your browser.

Actually, when we're talking about home pages, we also use the term 'above the fold', just like if it were a newspaper. In case of the home page, though, everything that's above the fold is what you can see in your browser, without having to scroll down or site wards.

First Rule: Place Your Advert Above The Fold

Your visitor might never go further than just to skim the first page he arrives on, so make sure he's given the option of seeing some advert, he can use to leave your site with, should he want to do so.

Don't expect him to scroll down to find your AdSense units. Put them all above the fold, on the visible part of your home page.

Second Rule: Place Your Ad Units Where Your Visitor Looks

Not only should you choose to put your adverts above the fold, but also at spots, you know your visitor will look at.

Your visitor will look at headlines, sub-headlines, menus, and pictures. If you can blend in your ad units with the text, below the headline, this is one of the perfect money-making spots.

Another one is to add a link unit near your existing menu links, either horizontal or vertical. You would be surprised to see, how much income these small links can provide.

Personally, I've had better results by wrapping the text around the advert unit than to have it stand alone and have the text below, but opinions are divided here, so you'll have to do your own tests, and tweak your ads to do their best.

This One Tiny Change Could Make A Huge Difference In Your AdSense Income

If you have keyword rich content on your site and lots of visitors, but your AdSense income sucks, making one tiny little change could having you earning a monthly check for the first time. Or in my case, once again.

I have never had a problem triggering relevant AdSense ads on my sites. A handful of my blogs were consistently generating a nice little monthly income, exceeding Google's $100 minimum payout threshold. Then suddenly, my daily earnings trickled to less than 50 cents a day.

Sometimes listening to Google is not a good thing. From time to time Google reminds us not to overlook image ads so we don't miss out on income opportunities. They say that image ads compete in the same keyword auction that text ads do and that based upon your page's content, they are likely to display ads that will make you more money. Sounds great, right?

Google can display all the pricey ads they want, but it's not going to do any good if those high paying ads never get clicked. Case in point, image ads.

Like a sheep being led to the slaughter, I updated my once profitable text ads to display both text and image ads. Yes, I knew better. I studied material written by one of the greatest AdSense experts on the topic and he was right. Aside from good content and proper placement, text ads are king.

People are blind to banner ads. They won't click on them unless they're dramatically different from the norm. And therein lies the problem since most of them don't generate any excitement.

Text ads are different. The advertiser has only a title and two lines to create a compelling ad just begging to be clicked and a 336 x 280 ad block will display up to 4 text ads. That's multiple opportunities for clicks. Whereas a text ad can only generate 1 click and no one was clicking the image ads on my site.

It doesn't matter if your ads are strategically placed above the fold or in valuable sidebar space. If you're not getting the clicks you think you should be getting, check your ad types and make sure are only showing text ads.

Two days ago I modified the ads on those once profitable blogs and changed them back to text only ads. The result? I'm back in the money. Google is not always right.

Why Keyword Research Is So Important for AdSense Publishers

AdSense publishers who use specific keywords in their content are likely to get more traffic to their websites and make a lot more money. There are certain keywords that people type in the search engines where they could find your website instead of someone else's. You want to make sure that you know exactly what keywords people are using in your niche and include those words in your websites content. Here is a bit more about keyword research and how to get your website ranking for many relative keywords.

Most people think that all they need to do is just put up a website with good content. Like that will be enough to warrant making plenty of money with AdSense. And it may be, but you can really optimize the amount of money you make by making sure that you are putting your website in position to rank for certain keywords.

First, you need to know what keywords people are using to find information that your website is offering. Use Google's free Keyword Tool to find out what these are. Then it is all about optimizing your website to rank for these keywords.

On-Site Optimization:

As soon as you know what keywords to go after, you then need to include these words in your content. More than likely you will see that there is going to be a lot of keywords that might be relevant to your topic. Plan on writing an article based on all of the highly searched terms. Make sure that these articles not only include the keywords in the content, but that they are including other relevant keywords as well. This is called themeing your articles and will land you more traffic from obscure keywords rather than just the main keywords you are writing about.

You also need to make sure that your keywords are included in your title, description, other meta tags, an h1 tag, and maybe even bolded, italicized, and/or underlined throughout your pages content.

Off-Site Optimization:

Just optimizing your website for your keywords is not enough. You also need to link back to your website using your keywords in anchor form. The more anchor links you have pointing back to your content, the higher that page will rank for those keyword terms. The quantity of the links as not as important as the quality of the links. Concentrate on getting links from highly respected websites.

Last but not least, you need to make sure that you back linking process is as normal and as natural as possible. Don't pick up too many links too fast and make sure to vary your anchor text as well.

A can tell you that it is very possible. There are a lot of people today making thousands of dollars every month from Google AdSense, these people have a few things in common that most online money-making seekers don't have, dedication, persistence and patience.

It's true, when a newbie comes around seeking for ways to make money online, he/she will most likely be seeking for ways to make money quickly, expecting to receive a paycheck by the next weekend or so, but that's not how it works. Since my main goal is to share with you some ideas on the best ways to making money with AdSense let me cut straight to the point. As I Just mentioned, the two ways that I recommend people working to make money with Google AdSense are:

Your Own Website

One of the main reasons why you should consider working with websites that you own is simply because you will be the only owner of it. The content in it is entirely yours and in the end so will be the AdSense revenue completely yours. When you build free blogs, or have content published and hosted on a lot of free websites, that content is not yours, so the biggest benefit goes to the website it self and not you. On popular places like Blogger you can come to have a great blog there that can make you money, but then again the AdSense is shared with Blogger and also the content you have there can go offline at any minute, it will never be yours to leave it there as long as you want, so you will be building a content rich blog to be at the mercy of Blogger to leave it there and not go offline or take your blog offline if they feel like doing it so.

So building you own website is the first option to go with and even backing up your website completely if you want to will be easier than you think.

AdSense Revenue Sharing Websites

This is the second and last option I would consider working with Google AdSense. People sometimes consider working with these to gain experience before building their own websites which is something normal and admirable, but there are some AdSense sharing websites that are not worth joining to and some that are. There are AdSense sharing websites that are more popular than others and you should consider joining them. To know if a website is good or not search for the popularity behind it, one very important thing to consider is if these websites have high Alexa Ranking, meaning between 1 and 1000 than they are really strong websites, and having the ALEXA rank between 1 and 500 means that they are very powerful, strong, and have a lot of authority.

Why is it worth joining these websites?

Simply because while building your own website is the best way to go, pages that you build on your website when compared to pages built on a high authority domain will tend to have more ranking power than your own website that is brand new in the World Wide Web. To better understand what I am trying to say let's take an example of you building two pages towards the same content and as an example we could say that you are building both pages about "vehicle tire cleaners". While building your own website will be better off in the long-term, building a page on a high authority website will bring more benefit in a short-term, where you will have a great chance of having that subdomain page you created rank better than your own website. The same concerns will remain as to not being in total control of a the content you are building. But being the page you build hosted on a high authority domain it will be very hard to have your page go down or loose your content.

In the end it will be up to you to device which way would you consider going with, your own domain built from scratch which will give you more benefits and earning potential in the time to come or a AdSense sharing authority website which is pretty much stronger than any of the pages you create and pretty much will be for some time and can give you earnings in a more short period of time, but earnings that will be shared and content that they will maintain, but that can also build up to bring you a great source of extra income on monthly periods in a shorter time. You could simply consider going with both, as many people do as well.

If you are new to AdSense, advices are never too much, and one great advice I want to give you about AdSense comes from the experience I learned with other people. Please never think that you could get away from clicking on your own ads. Google is very smart and uses algorithms to track down and monitor clicking activity in ways you can't even imagine, they don't track just IPs(Internet Protocols), they track your activity as well and also the activity around you. So clicking from school computers, another house or asking a friend from another state to click on your ads, will most likely create a suspicious clicking activity towards your AdSense account. I will write an article in more depth about this in the time to come, this is just a little heads up for new comers, as I hear a lot of complains from people that simply claim they never imagined they could be banned from Google AdSense for doing that, or that they got banned for just testing to see the clicks appear in their AdSense account. To test all you need to do is get working and track your activity, and not worry about cheating the system.

Three Pivot Points To Make A Lot Of Cash With Google AdSense

Most people believe that making money with Google AdSense is dead. As well they should, since they've been going about it all wrong. They are making pennies a click when the truth is they can be making anywhere from $1, $2 and $4 per click without really having to even try that hard to make a steady income using the right techniques. Here are three pivot points, or shifts you need to make in order to start seeing some real money from your sites with Google AdSense.

Pivot Point 1 - Niche & Keyword Selection

When building AdSense sites most people target low volume, low competition search phrases that don't bring them any traffic. This is the wrong way to go about creating a site for AdSense. What you really want to do is target keyword phrases in evergreen niches like Finance, Health/Medicine, Real Estate, Legal and Education/Training to name a few categories. These are the niches that have very high paying keywords and phrases, so that is what we want to target.

Pivot Point 2 - Rankings & Traffic

The one thing everyone needs if they are going to make a lot of money online is traffic. It doesn't matter what niche you are in. Without traffic you are dead in the water with nowhere to go. That's where proper SEO comes in. You need to be following proper SEO practices to push your site up in the rankings until you hit page 1 of Google. That's when all the fun (and money) begins to appear.

Pivot Point 3 - Conversions

Conversions are key to any successful online business venture. Without them you do not get paid. That's why when you create your AdSense sites you want to give your visitor valuable information, but it cannot be enough to solve their immediate problem. You want them clicking out of your site by clicking one of your AdSense ads, and the only way that will happen is if they need more info. So give quality info, but don't give enough to solve anyone's problem.

These 3 pivot points just scratch the surface when it comes to creating very high paying AdSense sites. But do these things consistently and you will be off to an incredible start on your AdSense money making adventure.

Why Do White Hat SEO?

Such search engine optimisation methods generally involve taking part in various techniques in order to best the system and to trick the search engines. This can include trying to make your content seem better than it is or even more popular that it actually is.

An old example of a common SEO technique was that of keyword stuffing or having your keyword appear a certain percentage of times within your content, with the hope that Google will see your website as being more relevant than all the others. But this is an example, which thankfully just does not work any longer.

There are of course other frowned upon techniques than can be used, but these methods are not approved and they will ultimately get your site penalised and maybe even removed from the search engine index all together. In a nutshell it is best to stick with white hat SEO and this is what I will be writing about in the remainder of this article.

First, let us make a start by talking about your keyword usage. This really involves using your keywords and phrases effectively within the content of your website. This includes whether you have produced a video, an image or just written text on your website or your blog. The best thing that I can suggest is that you include your keyword or phrase just once. That is more than enough. Do not over do it, because it will start to look like spam and it will not read very well and your visitors will leave faster than they arrived.

Second we have the process of guest blogging. This is the rave nowadays and many people are involved. It really is a win-win situation for everyone involved. Basically a blogger approaches another blogger with the intention of posting a guest post on another blog. So the receiving blogger receives some great free content for their website and you get a link or links back to your website. As well as the advantage of obtaining links your content gets to appears in a front of a whole new audience. This is really an excellent way for your content to get further syndicated via the social media channels.

Third, we will talk about natural inbound links. This is the ultimate goal in search engine optimisation. Google sees natural inbound links as quality votes from another webmaster. And by the word natural, I mean links that you did not create yourself. This therefore does not include links from an article directory, which is fine, but they do not carry the same weight as another webmaster linking to you of their own free will. This tells Google that your content is worth ranking for, simply because people are linking to you out of their own will.

And the best way to get natural links to your site is to create quality content and this is the fourth area that I want to talk to about.

Fourth, as mentioned, is all about quality content. This refers to having a content based website that is frequently updated with unique fresh content and Google loves such websites. Now you don't need to be updating your site every hour of the day, but whatever schedule you come up with you need to stick to it. Do not have irregular patterns such as one blog post one month and then twenty updates the next. The main thing to remember is to be consistent as this will be beneficial from a search engine point of view and your readers will also appreciate consistent updates.

Quality content is also referred to as link bait, as you are essentially attracting others to link to you based on what you are producing, providing of course you are offering something unique which other webmasters just cannot find themselves.

Fifth, we need to discuss interior links within your site and this is relatively easy to perform. It simply refers to linking internally from one page to another. So if I write a post on SEO, within that post I can have links to other related posts such as link building or on-page optimisation. This helps to keep people on my site for longer and to reduce my bounce rate. And since Google has a lot of data concerning my site, if I can reduce a metric such as bounce rate, then it must mean that I am providing value for my audience and therefore I will ultimately see higher rankings.

Finally, let us talk about blog commenting. This is a white hat technique provided it is done correctly. Most people will abuse this and just write spam comments that are not related to the post, and they will comment solely with the intent of obtaining a link. But what you should do is to post something that is relevant, valuable and actually adds to the discussion.

Also when commenting don't keep using your key phrases that you want to rank for, but mix it up with your own name and also your domain name.

White hat SEO is the only method that is legitimate because it works. Non-approved techniques will always be targeted and eventually removed. So if you don't want to be losing sleep over your web rankings then you know what to do.

How Google Penguin Affects Your Website and What You Can Do About It

If you are a website owner, you may have heard of Google Penguin, an algorithm used by Google when crawling web pages on the search engine. Your website may or may not have been affected by the Penguin, but if you want to keep yourself up-to-date about changes in how Google ranks website, this should be among your concern. Here are the basic facts you need to know about Google Penguin and its functions:

It Should Not Be Regarded as a Penalty System

People whose web rankings have been affected by the Penguin may see the algorithm as a penalty system created by Google to filter websites. This should not be the case. The Penguin is a newer version of the algorithms created by Google when tracking search results. The Penguin is often mistaken as an action from the search engine giant's spam team that penalizes particular websites.

Low Quality Links Can Be Detrimental for Your Website's Ranking

There are several areas affected by Google Penguin and these include site-wide links. These links are the ones you see at the top or bottom part of all or most pages of a website. Google does not consider these links trustworthy since they came from paid link arrangements or domains owned by companies. If you have lots of links that point to low quality website, this can also affect your rankings. This is a result of spammers who make fake websites or buy links from networks with low website quality.

Your Website Can Recover from the Damage, But It May Take Some Time

There are those who say that it is easy to bounce back from the hits your website suffered from Google Penguin. This is not really the case since the update in the algorithm is just recent and the effects may continue for quite a long time. You may be tempted to do some instant fixes on your website, like moving domains or deleting pages, but you should put off from doing those things for now. Unless you know the exact cause of your website's traffic loss, it's not wise to make changes that can produce more harm than good. The least you can do is to stop all unethical techniques (if you're doing any) and improve what you can from your existing site.

Start by improving the content of your website. Create good quality copy that people will find useful and take time to read. Google has become very strict when it comes to spotting poor and inferior content. You can also work on adding pages, images, or videos that are relevant to your website. Next, work on reviewing the quality of your links. Make sure to procure links from high quality websites only. Try using press releases or offline advertising to improve your brand. Improving your social marketing actions can also do good for your website.

If your website has not been affected by the Penguin, take advantage of this chance to avoid bad practices that can prove harmful for your website.
